How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Red Spirit is a warm, medium-red carpet that brings life to living spaces without fuss. This Balta Gala carpet sits soft underfoot and resists stains, so spills wipe clean with ease. The real win: it’s bleach cleanable, which means you get the colour you love and a floor that stays fresh.

The plain loop pile weave in polypropylene is built to take everyday wear. At 850g/m2 density and 9mm thick, it holds its shape through busy hallways, stairs and family bedrooms. Red Spirit suits most home settings, from lounges to dining rooms and landings.

Where it works

Red Spirit fits bedrooms, dining rooms, halls, landings and stairs, and living rooms. The stain resistance and bleach-clean feature make it a practical choice for spaces where kids and pets move through.

Installation

This carpet uses gripper fitting, the standard method for domestic installations. You’ll need underlay underneath to protect the pile and keep noise down. It’s not suitable for underfloor heating.

Looking after it

Vacuum regularly to keep the pile fresh. Spills clean up fast with a damp cloth, and tougher marks respond to a bleach-based cleaner without fading the dye. Balta backs it with a 10-year commercial warranty, so you can rely on Red Spirit to last. For more budget-friendly choices, explore our range of Cheap Carpets.
