How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Wood Habana 3D Trinidad brings warm, medium brown wood-plank looks to your home with a crucial difference: built-in slip resistance. The 3D texture mimics real grain and depth, so it reads as authentic timber without the maintenance headaches or water damage risks. With an R11 anti-slip rating, this flooring grips underfoot even when wet, making it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms and hallways where safety matters.

This is sheet vinyl flooring that combines style with substance. The waterproof surface resists spills, splashes and daily moisture, whilst the 2mm thickness and 0.7mm wear layer protect against wear and indentation over time. It sits flat and stable from the moment you install it.

Specifications

Anti-slip rating: R11

Where it works

This is a genuine workhorse. Bathrooms and WCs benefit most from the waterproof finish and slip grip. Kitchens stay safe under foot, even near the sink or cooker. Bedrooms and living rooms gain that wood-look warmth. Hallways and commercial spaces like offices or small shops will also perform well. The R11 rating and hard-wearing surface handle footfall in these settings without losing looks or grip over time.

Installation

Glue down onto a clean, even subfloor. No underlay is needed. The flooring is compatible with underfloor heating systems, so if you have radiant heat, you can install with confidence.

Looking after it

Wipe spills straight away and sweep or vacuum regularly. The waterproof surface shrugs off moisture, but standing water should not pool. Mop with a damp cloth and mild detergent if needed. A 10-year warranty covers normal domestic and light commercial use, giving you peace of mind. If you’re looking at other options, Gerflor Taralay Impression ranges offer similar performance in different styles.
