How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Wood Loft White 0672 brings light, subtle wood plank tones to any space without the upkeep. This Gerflor Vinyl Flooring sheet keeps its fresh white and grey palette even under daily foot traffic and moisture. The soft wood grain effect feels natural underfoot, while the waterproof PVC core means spills and splashes simply wipe away.

What sets Tarasafe Impression apart is safety. An R11 anti-slip rating grips wet feet and wheels alike, making it ideal for bathrooms, kitchens and those high-traffic hallways where someone’s bound to slip. The 0.7mm wear layer stands up to commercial footfall too, so it suits care homes, small shops and offices just as well as your home.

Where it works

Install it in kitchens, bathrooms and wet rooms where grip matters. Bedrooms and living areas gain that soft wood look without the fussy maintenance. Hallways and stairs handle the traffic. Commercial Vinyl Flooring standards mean it suits gyms, care facilities, small retail and office kitchens too.

Installation

Glue down to a clean, dry subfloor. No underlay is needed. The flooring sits happily over underfloor heating systems, so warm kitchens and bathrooms are no problem. Allow the adhesive to cure fully before wet use.

Looking after it

Wipe spills immediately and sweep or vacuum regularly. A damp mop with mild detergent keeps it fresh. The waterproof core means moisture won’t seep through or cause swelling. Gerflor backs it with a 10-year warranty, giving you real peace of mind.
