How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Horizon Blue 5208 is a hard-wearing safety sheet vinyl with a speckled blue finish that sits between light and medium tones. The colour works well in kitchens, bathrooms, offices and commercial spaces where grip and durability matter. This is Polysafe Verona, and it gives you a waterproof, anti-slip surface that stays safe underfoot even when wet.

What you get

2mm thick PVC sheet vinyl
R10 anti-slip rating for wet areas
Speckled finish, medium blue tone
Supplied in 20m rolls, 2m wide
Fully waterproof
19dB sound insulation
Use Classification 23, 34, 43 (domestic and commercial)

Where it works

Bathrooms and kitchens benefit most from the slip resistance and water seal. Offices and WCs need the same grip underfoot. Polyflor sheet vinyl flooring like this handles light commercial traffic too, so care homes, schools and small retail spaces get the same reliable performance as a family bathroom.

Installation

This is a glue-down product. You do not need underlay. Underfloor heating is not compatible, but the 2mm thickness sits flush once fixed.

Looking after it

Wipe spills straight away and clean regularly with a damp mop and a neutral cleaner. The waterproof surface stops stains and moisture seeping through. Polyflor backs this with a 10-year commercial warranty, so you have real peace of mind in high-traffic zones.
