How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Lano Heather Twist Supreme in Anthracite is a charcoal-grey twist pile carpet built for real life. It has a tight, textured surface that hides footmarks and the daily wear of a busy household. The soft feel underfoot comes from its 1360g/m² pile weight and 8.5mm pile height, making it comfortable to walk on without looking or feeling bulky at just 10mm thick overall.

What sets this carpet apart is its bleach-cleanable finish. Spill red wine, mud from the garden, pet accidents, the lot. You can tackle stains with standard bleach-based cleaners without damaging the pile or colour. This makes it the kind of bleach cleanable carpet that works in homes where you want style and practical cleaning power.

Where it works

Fit this carpet in living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas, hallways, landings and stairs. Its tough twist pile and stain resistance suit homes with children and pets. It’s not waterproof, so keep it away from bathrooms or rooms at risk of flooding.

Installation and care

Lano Heather Twist Supreme is fitted using a gripper system and needs a quality underlay beneath it. The carpet works with underfloor heating, so if your home has it, this is a good choice. Day-to-day cleaning is simple, vacuum regularly and blot spills at once. For stubborn stains, use a bleach-based cleaner or hire a professional carpet cleaner. The 10mm thickness and firm backing take impact well on stairs and landings, where foot traffic is constant.
