How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Lano Heather Twist Supreme in Flax is a soft, neutral beige carpet that brings warmth to any home. The twist pile sits at 8.5mm high and feels substantial underfoot. It’s made from polypropylene and comes with a dual backing for stability.

This carpet stands out because it’s bleach cleanable. Spill red wine or pet accidents happen, and you can treat stains with bleach-based products without fear of damage. That’s a real practical edge in busy homes. The heavyweight pile of 1360g/m² resists wear and keeps its looks through years of foot traffic.

Lano Heather Twist Supreme suits living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas, halls and stairs. The plain, medium-toned Flax shade works with most décor schemes and hides everyday dust between cleans. For a bleach cleanable option that actually performs, consider Bleach Cleanable Carpets across Flooring King’s wider range.

Installation is by gripper method, and underlay is required to protect the backing and improve comfort. The carpet supports underfloor heating, so it works well with modern systems. Buy by the square metre and roll it out quickly once it’s settled.

Keep it clean with a vacuum. For stains, the bleach cleanable feature means you’re not restricted to gentle spot treatments.
