How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Lano Star Twist Elite in Snow is a bright, clean white carpet that brings light into any room. The twist pile sits at 10mm, giving it a soft, springy feel underfoot without bulk. Its plain, neutral tone works with any decor, from modern to traditional schemes. Best of all, you can use bleach to tackle stains, so spills and marks are far less daunting than with standard carpet.

The pile weighs 1700g/m2 on a dual backing, making it hard-wearing for everyday use. At 12mm thick overall, it feels substantial and sits well in the room. Polypropylene construction means it resists wear and tear in high-traffic areas. This carpet is rated for domestic use (classification 23), so it takes the pace of family living in stride. It also works with underfloor heating, so you won’t need to rip out your system when you lay it.
