How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Lano Star Twist Supreme in Snow is a cream twist carpet that brings a clean, light look to any room. The neutral shade works with modern and traditional schemes alike. What sets it apart is the bleach-cleanable surface, so spills and stains don’t call for specialist help. Just reach for your usual household cleaner and move on.

The twist pile sits at 8.5mm high, dense enough to feel underfoot without showing footprints at every step. It’s made from polypropylene, a durable fibre that takes wear well in busy households. The 10mm total thickness and dual backing give it a substantial feel and help it stay in place.

Specifications

Pile height: 8.5mm
Total thickness: 10mm
Pile weight: 1360g/m²
Material: Polypropylene
Pile type: Twist
Backing: Dual backing
Use classification: 23 (domestic and light commercial)

This carpet suits bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, hallways and stairs. It’s compatible with underfloor heating, so you can add warmth underneath without any fuss. Lano carpets in the twist range work well alongside neutral décor and bring a practical edge to family spaces.

Installation and care

Fitted using the gripper method, Snow needs proper underlay to perform best and sit securely. Once down, keep it simple. The bleach-cleanable finish means you can tackle marks and spills with confidence using standard household cleaning products. Polypropylene carpets like this one don’t absorb stains the way wool does, making them ideal for homes where pets, children or muddy boots come as standard.

Lano backs this carpet with a 10-year warranty, giving you peace of mind on your investment.
