How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Where it works

Laurel Oak Parquet suits kitchens, bathrooms, offices and wet areas thanks to its waterproof finish. It’s equally at home in commercial spaces, making it a smart choice for retail or light-traffic commercial settings. Sheet Vinyl Flooring in this specification stands up to splashes, spills and foot traffic without fading or swelling.

Installation

This Polyflor Designatex Sheet Vinyl Flooring uses loose lay installation, so it sits flat and secure without adhesive. No underlay is required. The flooring works with underfloor heating systems, so you can add warmth without any compatibility issues.

Looking after it

Maintenance is straightforward. Wipe spills at once and sweep regularly to prevent grit scratching the surface. Damp mop with a vinyl-safe cleaner when needed. The waterproof layer means moisture sits on top rather than soaking through, making it ideal for kitchens and bathrooms.
