How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Oak Brushed And Bevelled is a natural, oiled oak flooring with a warm, subtle grain and a brushed finish that softens the wood texture. Bevelled edges add gentle definition between planks. This is a real-wood look that handles everyday wear without the maintenance demands of solid parquet.

Wide planks at 185mm across give rooms a spacious, modern feel. The straight plank effect keeps the pattern clean and restful. Each pack covers 3.663m2 and contains 9 planks, so you can plan your project easily.

Where it works

This flooring suits bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, hallways, offices and utility rooms. The tough wear layer stands up to traffic and daily life. It’s equally at home in a traditional scheme or a contemporary space.

Installation

Click installation makes fitting straightforward. The flooring sits as a floating layer over underlay, so no gluing to the substrate. Parador Classic 3025 is compatible with underfloor heating, which opens up options if you’re planning a heated system. You will need underlay beneath it.

Looking after it

The oiled finish is easy to maintain. Sweep and vacuum regularly to keep grit from scratching the surface. Wipe spills quickly with a damp cloth, then dry. Parador Engineered Wood Flooring is designed to age gracefully, so the wood develops character with use. Parador backs this floor with a 25-year warranty for added peace of mind.
