How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Where it works

Alden Oak suits kitchens, bathrooms, WCs, bedrooms, living rooms and hallways. Its durability and waterproof properties also make it a sound choice for light commercial applications, shops and offices with moderate foot traffic.

Installation

Loose lay fitting means no adhesive is needed. The flooring simply sits flat on your subfloor, making it quick to fit and easy to lift if you want to change it later. Alden Oak is compatible with underfloor heating systems, so you can add warmth without fuss.

Looking after it

Wipe spills straight away with a damp cloth. Hoover or sweep regularly to keep grit and dust from building up. Avoid harsh cleaners and excessive water. The waterproof backing keeps moisture out, and the wear layer resists scuffs and daily wear. Polyflor backs this flooring with a 20-year warranty.
