How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Rock Salt Oak 3103 brings a warm, light-to-medium oak look to any room without the fuss of real wood. This sheet vinyl has a natural wood plank effect that works well in homes and commercial settings. It is fully waterproof, so spills and splashes don’t cause damage.

The Polyflor Forest FX flooring range uses a robust 0.7mm wear layer to resist scuffs and marks in busy spaces. The glue-down installation keeps it flat and stable underfoot. At 2mm thick, it sits comfortably over most existing floors.

Rock Salt Oak suits kitchens, bathrooms, offices and commercial areas where durability matters. Its R10 anti-slip rating makes it safe on wet surfaces. The backing is PVC, and underlay is not required, which saves both time and cost during fitting.
