How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Ashen Oak brings a soft, grey-toned timber aesthetic to your home without the fuss of real wood. Light and neutral, it suits most colour schemes and works equally well in contemporary or traditional spaces. The bevelled edges give each plank subtle definition and a real-wood plank feel underfoot.

This Glue-Down LVT from the Polyflor LVT range is waterproof, so kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms are no problem. It handles underfloor heating too, making it a flexible choice for refurbished older homes or new builds with wet rooms. The 0.55mm wear layer sits under a durable surface that resists everyday scuffs and marks.

Ashen Oak suits living areas, bedrooms, hallways, stairs and landings. It even takes light commercial use, thanks to its Class 42 rating. No underlay is needed, which keeps the installation process straightforward and costs down.
