How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Pavilion Limed Oak brings a soft, light grey tone to your floors with a subtle oak plank aesthetic. The pale, natural look suits modern and traditional settings alike, and works in any room without fuss. You get the appeal of real wood grain without the maintenance headache or water worries.

Each plank sits at 1219.2mm long and 184.2mm wide, with a bevelled edge that adds gentle definition. The 0.55mm wear layer and 2.5mm thickness deliver solid durability across the board. Glue down this flooring with 15 planks per pack, covering 3.37 square metres at 14.46kg.

Polyflor LVT in this style works in any room of your home. Kitchens and bathrooms love it because it’s waterproof and wipes clean in seconds. Hallways, stairs, living rooms and bedrooms all handle it well too. The R10 anti-slip rating keeps things safe underfoot, and it’s rated for light commercial use as well.

Glue-down LVT like this needs a flat, stable subfloor and the right adhesive. Good news: it works perfectly with underfloor heating systems, so you can add warmth without replacing your floor. No underlay is required, which simplifies the job.

Looking after it is straightforward. Sweep or vacuum regularly to lift dust and grit. Wipe up spills promptly and clean with a damp (not wet) mop and a soft cloth. Avoid harsh abrasives and bleach. Polyflor backs this with a 25-year residential warranty and a 10-year commercial warranty, giving you real peace of mind on a real-wood look that lasts.
