How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Willow Grey Oak brings a soft, contemporary take on parquet style. The herringbone pattern sits in a cool grey tone that works with modern schemes and classic interiors alike. You get the visual richness of wood parquet without the maintenance hassle, and it handles moisture like a real floor can’t.

This is Polyflor LVT built for living. Waterproof throughout, it stands up to kitchen spills, bathroom steam and wet feet without swelling or staining. The bevelled edges add a subtle lift to the look, and the 0.55mm wear layer keeps the pattern sharp through daily wear. Underfloor heating works with it, so you can warm your tiles in winter and leave the surface dry underfoot.

Where it works

Suited to any room in your home. Bathrooms and kitchens love the waterproof finish. Hallways, stairs and living spaces benefit from the slip-resistant surface and durability. It also handles commercial settings and office spaces.

Installation

Glue-Down LVT means a fixed installation that won’t shift. No underlay required, and it’s compatible with underfloor heating systems. It’s rated for heavy commercial use, so it won’t flinch in a busy home.

Looking after it

Wipe spills straight away and sweep regularly to keep grit off the surface. A damp mop works for routine cleaning. The waterproof core means stains don’t set in. Polyflor backs this with a 25-year residential warranty and a 10-year commercial guarantee, so you’re covered for the long term.
