How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Tanzanite Blue 3750 is a medium-toned marble-effect sheet vinyl that brings a cool, contemporary look to kitchens, bathrooms and commercial spaces. The soft blue hue sits well in modern schemes and works equally in light or neutral settings. Unlike real stone, this vinyl stays warm underfoot and needs no sealing or polishing.

The Polyflor XL PU Sheet range delivers commercial-grade performance without the fuss. Its waterproof surface sheds spills instantly, making it reliable in moisture-rich rooms. The R9 anti-slip rating grips well underfoot, even when wet, so staff and visitors move safely across the floor.

Sheet vinyl in 20-metre rolls, 2 metres wide
Waterproof and non-porous
R9 anti-slip rating

Where it works

Tanzanite Blue suits bathrooms, kitchens, WCs and wet commercial areas. It handles foot traffic in shops, care homes and hospitality settings. As part of our Commercial Vinyl Flooring collection, this sheet vinyl stands up to the demands of public-facing spaces.

Installation

Glue down to a clean, dry subfloor. No underlay is needed. The Polyflor XL PU Sheet does not suit underfloor heating systems.

Looking after it

Sweep or vacuum regularly to clear grit. Mop with warm water and a neutral cleaner. Wipe spills straight away. The PU finish resists staining and scuffing, so daily care is straightforward. A 10-year commercial warranty covers wear and manufacturing defects.
