How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Aquarius 4220 is a medium green speckled vinyl that brings practical safety to kitchens, bathrooms, offices and other commercial spaces. The R10 anti-slip rating keeps feet secure underfoot, even when wet. It’s waterproof, so spills and puddles are no concern, and the glue-down fitting gets it fixed in place without fuss.

This is Polysafe Astral flooring, made by Polyflor for spaces where slip resistance matters. The speckled finish masks wear and staining, holding its looks in hard-use areas. At 2mm thick with a PVC backing, it sits flat and stable underfoot.

Rolls come 20 metres long and 2 metres wide. The LRV rating of 17 means it’s a darker shade, useful if you need contrast or want to hide marks. Sound insulation of 4dB helps absorb noise in busy spaces.
