How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Rainstorm 5202 is a light grey safety sheet vinyl with a subtle speckled effect that sits well in modern kitchens, bathrooms and commercial settings. The soft colour and quiet, understated texture work in tight spaces without dominating. What sets it apart is the grip underfoot: an R10 anti-slip rating means it grips wet floors reliably, plus the waterproof PVC backing keeps moisture out. You get safety and practicality rolled into one.

Specifications

Thickness: 2mm PVC sheet vinyl
Roll width: 2 metres
Roll length: 20 metres
Anti-slip rating: R10
Waterproof: yes
Sound insulation: 19dB
Use classification: 23, 34, 43 (domestic and light commercial)

Polysafe Verona range performs well in wet and high-traffic areas. Bathrooms, kitchens, WCs and commercial offices all suit it. The speckled grey tone hides marks and grime better than solid colours do.

Installation

Rainstorm 5202 is a glue-down sheet vinyl, fixed directly to a solid, level subfloor. No underfloor heating compatibility or underlay is needed. The 2m roll width keeps seaming to a minimum in most domestic rooms.

Looking after it

Sweep or vacuum regularly and mop with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The waterproof backing and PVC surface resist spills and stains. A 10-year commercial warranty backs the product against wear and defects in normal use.
