How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Styccobond F47 is a solvent-free acrylic polymer emulsion adhesive designed for securing sheet vinyl floor coverings to STOPGAP ISOLATOR MEMBRANE, provided the Relative Humidity (RH) of the subfloor does not exceed 92%. This adhesive forms a permanently tacky film upon drying and offers excellent resistance to plasticizers, making it well-suited for use with standard underfloor heating systems.

For conditions where the RH of the subfloor exceeds 92%, or if mechanical fixings are required to penetrate both the adhesive film and the membrane, Styccobond F84 should be used instead. For guidance on other subfloor types, please consult our Technical Service Department.
