This is Tarkett Texstar cushioned vinyl. The felt-backed sheet sits soft underfoot and deadens sound (19dB), so footfalls matter less in busy homes. It’s waterproof too, which means spilled drinks and damp don’t damage it. The 0.35mm wear layer stands up to everyday scuffs and stains.

Looking after it
