How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. View Full Specs

Earl Grey brings a practical medium grey to commercial spaces. This plain nylon loop pile sits flat and takes the wear, making it fit for offices where people move around all day. The colour stays neutral across changing light, so it suits modern layouts just as well as traditional schemes.

The loop pile construction holds up under traffic. At 2.7mm height and 4500g/m² weight, these tiles absorb sound too, hitting 25dB insulation. That matters in open-plan offices where noise travels. Bitumen backing keeps them stable on subfloors, and they work with underfloor heating, so your heating system runs without issue.

These are Commercial Carpet Tiles built for settings where durability matters. Offices and workspaces benefit from the hard-wearing nylon pile and the bite the bitumen backing provides. If you’re looking at Carpet Tiles for a busy floor, this range handles the job.

Looking after it

Loop pile carpet resists staining better than cut pile, so daily vacuuming and spot-cleaning keep it fresh. The 10-year commercial warranty covers wear and fault under normal use, giving you peace of mind on a major spend. Choose Earl Grey for a floor that looks clean longer and costs less to maintain.
