How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. The Floor Hub Infusion in Shanghai is a light grey plain carpet tile built for busy office and commercial spaces. Its looped nylon pile stands at 2.7mm with a dense 4500g/m² weight, giving you a neat, hard-wearing surface that holds its shape under foot traffic. At 6.5mm thick, it sits firm and stable on any sound floor or with underfloor heating.

These tiles are part of our The Floor Hub carpet tiles collection and rated for commercial use (classification 33), so they grip the demands of offices, meeting rooms and open-plan layouts. The bitumen backing locks them down, and the plain weave means dirt and dust stay visible and easy to spot during routine cleaning.

Each tile measures 500mm x 500mm, and you get 20 per pack. Nylon handles spills with grace and resists everyday stains better than wool. Commercial Carpet Tiles like this one also muffle sound across your floor, delivering 25dB of acoustic absorption to keep offices quieter.
