How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. View Full Specs

The Floor Hub Java in Cappuccino brings a warm, mottled brown tone to offices and commercial spaces. The loop pile sits at 2.5mm, giving a neat, practical finish that handles foot traffic without showing marks or wear patterns easily. It looks the part in open-plan layouts, boardrooms and high-traffic areas alike.

What you get

20 tiles per pack, 500mm x 500mm each
5mm total thickness with bitumen backing
3590g/m2 pile weight for durability
Loop pile at 2.5mm height
23dB sound insulation
Classification 33 for commercial use

Sound matters in an office. At 23dB, these tiles dampen noise from footsteps and chairs, making the space feel calmer and more professional. The bitumen backing keeps them stable underfoot and holds the pile structure.

Underfloor heating runs without a hitch. Install these over warm floors and they’ll perform as intended, so you’re not limited by your heating system. Busy office spaces, kitchenettes and meeting rooms all suit Cappuccino well. Our Commercial Carpet Tiles range includes tones for every scheme, but this mottled brown sits at the practical end, hiding dust and minor marks between cleans.

Installation

Lay them as a gluedown installation over a prepared subfloor. Each pack covers 5m2. The tiles lock into place and stay put even in high-footfall zones. Stagger the seams as you go for a balanced look.

Looking after them

Vacuum weekly and spot-clean spills straight away with a damp cloth. Deeper cleans work fine with a low-moisture carpet cleaner. The loop pile resists matting, so they keep their appearance through years of office life. A 10-year commercial warranty backs your investment, covering manufacturing faults.

Part of our wider Carpet Tiles collection, Java Cappuccino is built for spaces that demand durability, sound control and a professional look.
