How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. View Full Specs

Eclipse is a mottled grey carpet tile that brings calm, professional looks to any office or commercial space. The subtle colour variation masks wear well, keeping your floors looking fresh even under heavy foot traffic. This is practical flooring that doesn’t fuss.

What you get

Nylon loop pile, 2.0mm height
Total thickness 5.3mm, pile weight 3800g/m2
500mm x 500mm tiles, 20 per pack
Bitumen backing for stability
Class 33 commercial rating
Underfloor heating compatible

The loop pile construction makes Eclipse tough and durable. It handles the daily grind of busy workplaces, from corridors and open-plan offices to meeting rooms and break areas. When you need The Floor Hub carpet tiles that perform, Eclipse delivers without complaint.

Where it works

Eclipse suits any commercial or office setting. Carpet Tiles for Offices give you the freedom to replace individual worn tiles rather than the whole floor, and this grey blends with most colour schemes and décor. The modular design also makes it simple to refresh high-traffic zones without major disruption.

Installation

These tiles sit flat on most substrates and work with underfloor heating systems. They’re straightforward to lay and easy to maintain, making them ideal for facilities that need quick, clean fits.

Care and warranty

Keep Eclipse looking good with regular vacuuming and spot cleaning. The bitumen backing resists moisture and keeps the tiles anchored. You get a full 10-year commercial warranty, giving you confidence in your investment.
