How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Where it works

Kitchens and bathrooms are where this floor shines. Hallways and utility spaces suit it too. The slip resistance and waterproof nature make it practical for family homes with muddy boots and spills. It’s also rated for light commercial settings where footfall is moderate and dampness is a concern.

Installation

Glue-Down LVT installation means you’ll bond it straight to a prepared subfloor. No underlay is needed. The good news: it works with underfloor heating systems, so you can warm the room below without worrying about compatibility.

Looking after it

Maintenance is straightforward. Wipe spills as they happen, sweep or hoover regularly, and mop with a damp cloth using a neutral cleaner. Avoid standing water and harsh chemicals. The 15-year warranty covers manufacturing faults, giving you confidence in the floor’s lifespan.
