How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. TLC Original Rustic Oak 5181 is a waterproof wood-effect LVT that brings the look of dark, natural oak into any space without the upkeep real wood demands. The plank design sits at 152mm wide by 914mm long, giving you a scaled, realistic wood grain pattern across 24 planks per pack.

This is waterproof LVT flooring, so it handles spills, moisture and everyday wear with ease. The 2mm thickness and 0.3mm wear layer keep it stable underfoot, whilst the R10 anti-slip rating means you can fit it safely in kitchens, bathrooms and hallways without worry. It sits at Class 23 and Class 31 in use ratings, making it suitable for domestic and light commercial settings alike.

Glue-down installation is straightforward and fast, with no underlay needed. The square edging gives clean, tight joints. And if you run underfloor heating, Rustic Oak 5181 works perfectly with it, so you can add warmth without compromise.

One pack covers 3.34m2 and costs around £76.79. Care is simple: sweep, vacuum or damp-mop as needed. Spills wipe clean in seconds. TLC Flooring backs this product with a 15-year warranty, giving you real confidence in its lasting looks.
