How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Toffee 4825 is a warm, medium-toned beige safety vinyl that works well in busy kitchens, bathrooms and commercial settings where slip resistance matters. The speckled effect adds visual interest without showing dirt, and the soft, neutral colour suits both modern and traditional schemes. Unlike ceramic tile or sealed wood, this sheet vinyl offers genuine grip underfoot and takes just minutes to wipe clean.

Specifications

2mm thick PVC sheet vinyl with PVC backing
2m roll width, 20m roll length
R10 anti-slip rating
4dB sound insulation
LRV 30 (medium light reflectance)
Use classification 23, 34, 43 (domestic and commercial)

Glue-down installation means it sits flat on your subfloor with no movement, and the material itself is waterproof, so spills and splashes pose no risk. It works with underfloor heating systems without any fuss, and needs no separate underlay. The 10mm backing layer contributes to sound dampening in the room above, useful in flats or busy family homes.

Where it works

Kitchens, bathrooms, WCs and offices are the natural fit, but Polysafe Vogue Ultra also suits retail, leisure and light commercial spaces. Its R10 grip holds firm even when wet. Choose Polyflor sheet vinyl flooring anywhere you need waterproof, easy-clean resilience with genuine slip resistance.

Installation and care

Lay it with flexible flooring adhesive and allow 24 hours for cure before use. Once down, sweep or vacuum weekly and mop with warm soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners and standing water. A 10-year commercial warranty covers manufacturing faults and wear in normal domestic and light commercial use, giving you peace of mind in a high-traffic room.
