How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. Vanguard Affection Twist in Blush is a soft beige twist-pile carpet that brings warmth and comfort to family spaces. The 10mm pile gives you a gentle surface underfoot, whilst the polypropylene fibre takes spills and stains. Best of all, this carpet is bleach cleanable, so stubborn marks come out without fuss.

Busy households will appreciate the toughness here. The use classification of 23 means it handles everyday wear across living rooms, hallways, landings and stairs. With a pile weight of 1350g/m2 and 12mm total thickness, Affection Twist stays resilient under foot traffic and furniture.

This is a polypropylene carpet fitted using the gripper method, so installation is straightforward. Underlay is required and underfloor heating is compatible, which means you can use it in rooms with warm floors. The 25-metre roll length keeps waste down on larger areas.

Carpet in Blush works well in bedrooms, dining rooms and living spaces where you want colour that hides everyday dirt. It pairs with neutral or warm schemes without fuss.

Maintenance is simple: vacuum regularly and tackle spills with a damp cloth. For deeper cleans, the bleach-cleanable backing means you can use stronger solutions when needed. Vanguard backs this carpet with a 10-year warranty, giving you peace of mind on your choice.
