Phoenix Fossil is a dark green twist carpet that takes spills in its stride. The tight, textured pile hides everyday marks and feels dense underfoot at 2400g/m2. Best of all, you can clean it with bleach, which means stubborn stains don’t mean replacing the lot.

The 9mm pile sits on an 11mm total thickness, making it quick to fit over standard gripper rails. It’s a plain, no-fuss style that works in bedrooms, living rooms, dining areas and hallways, or on stairs and landings. The dark shade suits dark furnishings and hides dirt longer than lighter colours would.

Fitting and care

Fit it with a gripper system on standard subflooring. Underlay is needed to protect the backing and extend the carpet’s life. It works fine over underfloor heating as long as you follow the heating installer’s notes on temperature rise.

Vacuum weekly to keep the twist pile standing tall. Spills clean up fast with bleach-based products for stubborn marks, or plain water and mild detergent for everyday jobs. Vanguard backs it with a 15-year warranty against wear and defects.
