How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. Consult with Flooring Experts: Our team at Flooring King is always ready to assist you. View Full Specs

Vanguard Pinnacle Twist in Stepping Stone is a medium grey twist carpet that suits busy homes. The dense pile is 9mm deep and holds its shape well underfoot, whilst the bleach-cleanable treatment means you can tackle spills and stains without fear. Grey works in most rooms, pairing well with light and dark schemes alike.

This polypropylene carpet has a secondary backing and weighs 2400g/m2, giving it enough substance to feel quality without unnecessary bulk. The 11mm overall thickness sits comfortably over standard underlay, and it works with underfloor heating if your home has it fitted.

Looking after it

Bleach Cleanable Carpets like this one give you real peace of mind in busy rooms. Vacuum regularly to keep the pile fresh.
