Herringbone Laminate Flooring

A herringbone pattern features boards that have been staggered and layered diagonally for an ornate look. It can be applied to a variety of flooring materials, including laminate, which is known for its durability and its image layer, which can emulate the appearance of wood, stone, and more.

Herringbone laminate adds visual interest to a room, and its slanted effect can help a room appear more spacious by drawing your guests’ attention in a particular direction. A herringbone laying pattern is often associated with luxury, so you’ll be able to elevate your space by adding our parquet laminate flooring to your design.

Although installing laminate flooring is typically easy, laying parquet laminate can be more challenging due to the complicated patterns involved. Before you begin installation, you’ll need to draw a perfectly straight line across your underlay as a guide, then use it as the centre of your herringbone pattern. Continue the process across your room, and carefully cut out any excess laminate.

Laminate is a versatile flooring material, with a durable high-density fibreboard core that can resist heavy foot traffic, and a wear layer that prevents scratches and stains. This makes it an excellent choice for communal areas, such as our range of living room laminate. Care should be taken when using laminate flooring in high-moisture areas, however, as it is prone to water damage.

To clean laminate flooring, start by vacuuming or sweeping loose dirt, then mop using a solution of water and a mild detergent or washing-up liquid. Be sure to wring your mop thoroughly before use, as excess water can damage laminate. Once finished, dry using a microfibre mop or cloth.
