Textured LVT brings grip and character to a floor that feels real underfoot. Unlike smooth vinyl, it mimics the grain and foot-worn finish of natural wood or stone, so you get authentic texture without the upkeep. All 500 products across these ranges work with underfloor heating, stand up to spills in the kitchen or bathroom, and stay put through years of traffic.

Karndean, Quick-Step, Palio, Polyflor and Nordikka lead the range. You’ll find wood planks, herringbone patterns, stone tiles and reproductions in natural, dark, grey, brown and light tones. Most need no underlay, some have built-in cushion. Whether you’re laying glue-down, click, or loose-lay, textured vinyl gives you a durable look that reads like solid material but costs far less and takes minutes to clean.

Wood and stone styles that look lived-in

Wood effect dominates: 187 products in plank, herringbone and parquet patterns. The texture sits atop the print layer, so each plank or tile feels slightly different as your foot moves across it. Karndean Van Gogh and Van Gogh Rigid Core alone hold 106 designs. Stone and tile effects add another 76 products, with full emboss or registered emboss finishes that catch shadows in grout lines or between stones.

Colour runs from warm naturals and mid browns through cool greys to nearly black. Natural tones account for 207 products and suit rooms that need calm. Dark shades (104 products) anchor busy spaces or hide footprints in high-traffic halls. Grey (60 products) bridges the gap between warm and cool, while light and white finishes (80 products combined) open up smaller rooms.

Texture types and what they deliver

All products here have one or more texture methods. Textured finishes (148 products) use a micro-embossed or lightly brushed surface that’s gentle underfoot yet still grips when wet. Embossed surfaces (115 products) go deeper, with registered emboss creating a synchronised pattern where grain lines match perfectly at seams. Textured and embossed combined (45 products) offer both subtle brush marks and pronounced emboss for maximum authenticity.

Registered emboss (27 products) ensures seams vanish. The wear layer ranges from 0.3mm to 0.7mm depending on where the floor will live. A 0.55mm layer (the most common across 211 products) balances durability with realistic thickness. Commercial spaces with high footfall often get thicker wear and higher use ratings; domestic ranges prioritise feel and cost.

Installation, durability and room fit

Glue-down is the standard (198 products), offering maximum stability and best performance with underfloor heating. Click systems (95 products) suit DIY and allow for easier replacement. Loose-lay (18 products) works in rental properties and temporary setups. All are waterproof, so kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and wet areas pose no risk. Quick-Step Livyn Alpha and Polyflor Expona Commercial lead in commercial-grade specs.

Luxury Vinyl Tiles in textured form work across every room: hall, kitchen, dining room, bedroom, bathroom and stairs. Use ratings range from Class 23 (domestic light use) to Class 42 (heavy commercial), so check the label if you have pets, children or a busy household.
