How do I determine the amount of flooring I need for my space?

Determining the right amount of flooring for your space is a crucial step in any home improvement project. At Flooring King, we've got you covered with a simple guide to help you calculate the exact amount you need: Measure Your Space: Begin by measuring the length and width of the room. For irregularly shaped rooms, divide them into smaller, more manageable sections. Add Extra for Wastage: It's wise to account for wastage during installation. Depending on the complexity of your layout, add an extra 5-10% to your total square footage to accommodate cuts and unforeseen adjustments. Consider Pattern Matching: If your chosen flooring has a pattern or needs to be matched, consult with our experts at Flooring King to determine the extra amount required for a seamless look. Factor in Room Shape: Different room shapes may result in varying amounts of wastage. Take into consideration any alcoves, closets, or irregular corners that may affect your calculations. View Full Specs

Rhythm is a dark blue striped tile from The Floor Hub Percussionist 2.0 range, built for commercial offices and workspaces. Its loop-pile nylon construction keeps the look sharp and hides surface dust well. The striped pattern adds visual interest to a space without clashing with your office scheme.

Specifications

Size: 500mm x 500mm
Pile height: 2.0mm loop nylon
Thickness: 5.3mm
Pile weight: 3800g/m²
Bitumen backing
20 tiles per pack (5m² coverage)
Use classification: 33 (heavy commercial)

The low pile at 2.0mm sits tight and resists matting even in high-foot-traffic areas. At 3800g/m² pile weight, these tiles take a real beating. They’re rated for heavy commercial use, so they suit busy offices, corridors and meeting rooms where durability matters.

Installation and underfloor heating

Rhythm tiles are compatible with underfloor heating systems. The bitumen backing glues down direct to most prepared subfloors. Installation is straightforward and fast, so your space gets back to work quickly.

Warranty and care

A 10-year commercial warranty covers these tiles, giving you real peace of mind. Day to day, a regular vacuum keeps them looking fresh. For marks or spills, a damp cloth cleans them fast. Carpet Tiles from The Floor Hub range are made to perform, and Rhythm is no exception.
