Is Avesso Classic Engineered Oak suitable for kitchens?

Yes. All 36 products in this range work in kitchens. Engineered oak handles temperature and moisture changes better than solid wood, so it stays stable in warm, steamy spaces. Most finishes here are oiled or lacquered, which adds a layer of protection. That said, none of these ranges are waterproof. Wipe up spills quickly and avoid letting water sit on the surface for long.

Can I fit Avesso Classic Engineered Oak with underfloor heating?

Yes, all products in the range work with underfloor heating. The plank format and engineered construction mean they won’t warp or shift as temperature changes, so you can heat your home without risk.

What's the difference between oiled and lacquered finishes?

Oiled finishes (23 products) let the wood grain show and feel more natural underfoot, but need regular maintenance with oil to keep them looking fresh. Lacquered finishes (11 products) form a harder, sealed coat that resists marks and spills better and needs less upkeep. Choose oiled if you like the look of raw wood and don’t mind upkeep. Pick lacquered for a busier home where durability matters more.

How do I fit Avesso Classic Engineered Oak?

Most products (31) use tongue and groove, which slots together and must be fixed to the subfloor. A few click ranges (5 products) lock together without nails or glue, making them faster to lay. Check your product details to see which system yours uses. Underlay is optional for most tongue and groove products, but required for click ranges.

What widths does Avesso Classic Engineered Oak come in?

This range spans four widths. Most planks are 190mm (19 products), which is the standard size. Narrower options at 125mm (9 products) create a busier visual look. Medium widths of 150mm (6 products) and 180mm (2 products) sit between them. Wider planks suit larger rooms. Narrower ones fit tight spaces and older homes better.

What's the difference between Rustic and Classic grades?

Rustic oak (32 products) has more grain variation, knots and movement in the wood, giving it a relaxed, natural character. Classic (4 products) is more uniform in colour and pattern for a cleaner look. Pick Rustic if you like the raw feel of aged wood. Choose Classic if you prefer a more refined, even appearance.
