Can I fit Avesso Design oak flooring in my kitchen?

Yes. All 38 products in the Avesso Design range suit kitchens, along with living rooms, halls, bedrooms, dining rooms and offices. Engineered oak holds up well in busy areas. The tongue and groove system clicks together without nails or glue, so fitting is quick.

Does this engineered oak work with underfloor heating?

It does. Every product in the range is compatible with underfloor heating systems. This makes engineered oak a solid choice for homes with warm floors, as the engineered construction sits more stable over heat than solid wood would.

What colour options are there in Avesso Design?

You can pick from Natural, Light, Dark or Grey finishes across the range. Most are Natural (22 products), with Light running to 9 products and Dark to 6. Just one Grey option. Within Natural, some come in Smoked or Ash treatments, so there’s plenty of choice to match your home’s look.

What pattern options does Avesso Design come in?

The range offers three layouts. Herringbone is the most common (28 products), with Versailles (6 products) and Chevron (4 products) as alternatives. Each gives a different visual flow across the floor. Herringbone creates movement. Versailles and Chevron suit larger spaces with more geometric drama.

Which finish is best: oiled, lacquered or unfinished?

Most stock is oiled (24 products) or lacquered (11 products). Oiled gives a natural feel and is easier to touch up. Lacquered offers tougher surface protection and suits high-traffic areas. Unfinished (3 products) lets you stain and seal it yourself for a bespoke look, but needs more aftercare once fitted.

How thick is Avesso Design flooring and which thickness should I choose?

Thickness ranges from 10mm to 20mm across the range. Most products are 14mm (14 items). Thicker boards (20mm) feel more substantial underfoot but cost more. Thinner options (10mm) work fine in flats where height matters. Check your doorways and transitions before choosing. The wear layer (the real oak top) ranges from 0.55mm to 6mm, so thicker wear layers last longer under heavy use.
